Pollination refers to the transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma of a plant through external agents. The agents which helps in pollination is known as Pollinators. These agents are honey bee, air, water, human, bird, insect.


Pollination is of two types: 

  1. Self Pollination 
  2. Cross Pollination
