Now you can apply for passport from Post Office

India Post is now offering passport registration and passport apply facility at various post offices in India.

In its latest initiative, the Ministry of External Affairs has opened the registration or application of passports at local post offices. This means you can now register or apply for a passport at your nearest post office. India Post will offer this facility at many post offices across the nation.

A total of 424 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) have been set up across the country including 65 POPSKs in Aspirational Districts.

I have written the step to apply for a passport:

1. You will first need to fill out and submit a passport application form online.

2. Visit the nearby Post Office having Passport Seva Kendra with the Application Print receipt and original documents.
